Tsukuba-Grenoble: the collaboration gets off to a flying start
LANEF has organized in October the first Tsukuba-Grenoble symposium with the NIMS (National Institute for Materials Science) – gathering all collaborators between LANEF and researchers based in Tsukuba.
This symposium allowed reviewing the existing partnerships, enhancing new ones and sharing knowledge and best practices from other French-Japanese collaborations. Seven representatives from LANEF, along with International Relations Heads from UJF and Polytech, have therefore attended the symposium - as well as its associated visits and exchanges - with their colleagues from NIMS, AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) and the University of Tsukuba.

This meeting follows the previous visit of a LANEF delegation in Japan last year, the official town twinning between Tsukuba and Grenoble, and the agreement to establish GIANT-NIMS Collaborative Research Center in both scientific campus – giving NIMS the opportunity to establish its first collaborative research center in Europe.
